Eilis O'Sullivan

Eilís O’Sullivan

Irish flautist Eilís O'Sullivan graduated from the Cork School of Music and, as a scholarship student continued her studies at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. She graduated with B.A. (Hons) and M.Mus with Distinction.

Eilís is much in demand as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician, having broadcast and toured extensively. Throughout her career she has been distinguished with many awards including the Silver Medal of the Worshipful Company of Musicians, London and first prize in the Governor's Recital Prize Competition at the Royal Scottish Academy.

Eilis has performed widely as a soloist with appearances varying from a performance for the Prince of Wales at Hollyrood Palace, Edinburgh to solo appearances at the main concert halls and music club venues throughout Ireland, Britain and Germany. Guest concerto engagements include performances in the United States, Scotland, and Ireland.

Recent performances include solo recitals at the National Concert Hall, Dublin,
St. Martin in the Fields, London, St. James’ Church, Mallow, Youghal Through The Ages Festival and at the Sir Adrian Boult Hall, Birmingham Conservatoire.
Eilis is a lecturer at the CIT Cork School of Music, Ireland. She has extensive experience as an examiner and adjudicator.


Joan Scannell

Joan Scannell is currently Head of String Studies at The Cork School of Music, Joan is a native of Cork and is a lecturer in cello at the Cork School of Music.
She is a graduate of U.C.C. and has recently completed an M.A. in Performance from the Cork School of Music.

Joan has wide experience as a performing musician and is a member of the Cork Chamber Orchestra.


Jerry Creedon

The lrish guitarist Jerry Creedon was born in Cork and has studied guitar from a young age. After graduating from University College, Cork, he studied with the famed German guitarist Siegfried Behrend in Germany; a Spanish Government Scholarship enabled him to study at the Andres Segovia Summer School in Santiago de Compostela; the Irish Arts Council grant-aided him to attend master classes given by world-famous virtuoso John Williams in Cordoba. Jerry is currently a lecturer in guitar studies at the CIT Cork School of Music. He participated at the October 2001 Guitar Foundation of America International Convention and Competition in San Diego, California.

Jerry is an experienced musician and has performed in Ireland, Germany and Spain, both as a soloist and a chamber musician. He has appeared with numerous orchestras and chamber ensembles and has his own Jazz Ensemble with which he performs at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival. He has performed at the National Concert Hall, Universities, and numerous Festivals. Jerry has recorded CDs of music by Sanz, Pujol and Villa-Lobos. He also has vast experience in Music Technology and has given demonstrations on music notation software at international Apple conferences.

He is also currently a member of the
Guinness Cork Jazz Festival Committee.
